Conscious Sisterhood Social Club - Art Therapy Workshop

Conscious Sisterhood Social Club is excited to host another liberating event that celebrates Womanhood and all of its glorious forms! Join us Sunday, August 14th from 3pm - 5pm at McGovern Centennial Gardens. Here are some important details to ensure we all have a smooth experience.

Q: What is Art Therapy?

A: Art Therapy is a form of therapy involving the encouragement of free self-expression through painting, drawings, or coloring.

Q: How will this experience benefit me?

A: Art Therapy helps people feel more in control of their own lives, and helps relieve anxiety and depression, including among cancer patients, tuberculosis patients in isolation, and military veterans with PTSD.

Q: Is this considered wellness?

A: Most definitely!

Parking

Feel free to park wherever you are most comfortable. Hermann Park has many different parking lots and entrances. I would suggest under a tree to keep your car cool.

Meet Up Spot

We will be meeting inside McGovern Centennial Gardens 1500 Hermann Dr. Houston, Tx 77004 under the gardening pavilion.

Materials Needed

Canvas

Picnic blanket/towel to sit on

Comfortable outdoor clothing

We will provide paint brushes, paints and brush cleaner

Feel free to bring any light snacks and non-alcoholic drinks to stay hydrated!”
